Another Arts-in-Medicine Lecture for BCH Epilepsy Division

My husband Christopher Yuskaitis and I are presenting our annual arts-in-medicine lecture for Boston Children's Hospital Division of Epilepsy on Friday, June 24. This year marks the eighth year we’ve been invited to present our work to residents and doctors who specialize in neurologic disorders, and we’re changing things up. Our lecture “Neuroaesthetics and Inquiry-Based Learning” will examine what happens in people’s brains when they view art, the basics of Visual Thinking Strategies and aesthetic development, and the application of VTS to medical training.

The artwork we’ll highlight in this lecture includes that of Samuel Bak, a contemporary Massachusetts artist from Lithuania, and Diego Rivera, a famous 20th century Mexican artist.

Check out my services for medical teams and contact me if you'd like to bring me and/or me and my husband to your healthcare setting.
