Presenting at NEMA 2020 Virtual Conference

I’m thrilled to facilitate a session on online museum education at the New England Museum Association’s 2020 Conference on November 18th, along with my colleague Amanda Goodheart Parks.

In the Covid era, museum educators have been doing what they do best: pivot, adapt, reinvent, and flex. Moving visitor engagement to online platforms during institutions’ closures changed the landscape of museum education and challenged us to redefine what it means to serve the public.

In this participatory panel, hear from your colleagues who’ve set the bar for digital programming, from virtual field trips to adult and family programs to special events. We’ll discuss what we’ve learned, how to continue online engagement successfully post-Covid, and how to apply best practices when we’re separated from our visitors by screens.
